We stopped for a coffee and pastry while passing through town and were especially impressed with the almond croissant. The outside of the croissant was very crisp and flaky, while the inside had a lot of delicious almond filling. I wish I had got more treats here! The iced mocha was also really good, especially if you’re a dark chocolate fan.

Very lovely French café. I really enjoyed my eggs and gruyer croissant. The staff was very much so attentive to needs and readily answered allergen questions. No peanuts in their baked goods for those who're concerned. A lil pricey but man was the food delicious. Service team is top notch and ON POINT. You only wait to order and then you can be seated. So the wait I've indicated is more so in regards to there being a line, which means, good food!

MarieBette was a really good brunch stop. We both had the Quiche Lorraine, which was delicious, but my favorite was the pancakes. They weren't overly sweet, allowing the quality of the ingredients to shine through. The café has a warm, welcoming atmosphere and seemed to be filled with locals, which is always a good sign. We enjoyed lingering over brunch and simply people-watching for a while. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Charlottesville.

great service and delicious pastries! we came around 3pm on a wednesday and they had tons of goodies! we order the petite caneles, prezzant, cinnamon sugar croissant roll, cocoa and pecan chocolate croissant roll, and had a massive chocolate chip cookie at a local play. everything was so good i cannot explain it…. the service was fantastic; the workers explained every pastry to me!! it was also pouring and another worker offered to double bag our goodies so they wouldn’t get wet. they were awesome and i cannot wait to eat there again. next time i’ll sit inside and order some real food! it was so cute inside and there was lots of seating available! i apologize for the blurry screenshots! my sister and i were taking a video review for our mom and didn’t take photos before hahaha.

Seems local favorite because it felt like everyone was here! Visited on a Sunday around noon and the line was out the door! Definitely recommend their breads and baked goods - their baguette is SO GOOD, I understand why everyone was buying out their baguettes! And I think their giant chocolate chip cookies is one of my top favorite cookies ever! Wish I bought more of them to take home! For coffee we got their cortado and an iced latte, though I wish I had gotten their hot chocolate with housemade marshmallows since I think that's what they're known for. Their cortado was pretty good, but the iced latte was okay
